This large-leafed plant grows for much of the year as a groundcover with heart-shaped leaves that can be up to 8". Flower stalks appear in the late summer and persist until fall. They can reach 3" tall and are topped with fragrant whitish purple flowers. May spread by rhizome. Part to full shade, with average to dry soil. Zone 3, OH Native.
